Why have I never heard of this soldier version of Goblin Ringleader? It seems like it could be just as brutal—I mean it's white card draw!

This thing is straight up busted. If you are running your soldier deck correctly, you should easily get 2-3 creatures off of this. It is also easy to cast due to the fact that you are either 1) not paying its full mana cost (daru warchief and/or ballyrush banneret) or 2) not even paying mana to play it (preeminent captain)
