Guaranteed to block a land-based attacker per turn. Otherwise, not too exciting, but Johannes Voss outdid himself in the art's "wow" factor.

It has some of the best art in the set, but this will basically never see play. Even in limited formats, 1/6 vigilance for 5 cmc is too weak.

Power should be more like 3, but it gets points for art.

Savannah Lions gets 2 power; why do these guys only get 1?

Strictly Border Patrol?
Not seeing much use for either, there's just no threat to a 5-drop that only swings for one when you could put Serra Angel out instead (barring multicolor decks if you can't afford the WW), which has evasion, damage, and is freaking Serra Angel.

This card is a fine defender if that's what you're looking for. All the "lolnoobIamPro" comments here forget that there need to be cards that introduce players to 1. how cards work, and 2. why some cards are better than others. This card does that. No, it isn't a card that will see competitive play, but that isn't how it's designed. It's a good card for what it is supposed to be.
And the art is great.

This goes great in a Doran, the Siege Tower deck.

Approach in peace or in pieces.

Love the art, love vigilance, but were they defanged?

Go take a look at Grizzled Leotau and then look back at this. Even with vigilance, this just costs way too much.
