I was in a edh game and i was using my artifact deck and i had Witchbane orb in play and Rune-Tail's Essence and Pariah equipped to my general Sen Triplets and i was under the impression that all abilities mana and/or static is still an ability so how is that i was still dealt damage by his affect.

Much better art than the duel decks version.

I still think Glissa, the Traitor is a better zombie elf.

This guy has a lot of synergy with stuff in his own guild, but it is still questionable to use him, even in sealed/draft. Sure you can get in a lot of damage, but you have to lose a card to do it. Then again, Jarad will get himself stronger once your own dude hits the graveyard. But once Jarad bites the dust you just put all that gamble to waste (unless your willing to sacrificing 2 lands). I really don't know about this guy =/

Might be good as a general because you will have more bombs and Jarad deals damage to each opponent with his ability. Sacrificing a guy with 6 power among 5 opponents is 30 damage for only 3 mana. Still, kind of iffy since each opponent only takes 6 and you lost your great creature =/ I personally wouldn't use this guy ever.

Found a slot for him in my Karador tool box EDH deck. Felt good tutoring up a Lord of Extinction, casting it, and sacrificing it to Jarad. My playgroup hated it.

Highly entertaining in The Mimeoplasm, Karador, Ghost Chieftain, and similar decks. Could even make a strong Voltron/Dredge Commander on his own. As he is, he' s a legendary, harder-to-pay for Lhurgoyf with a couple extra abilities, would be much scarier if he counted all cards in all graveyards.

Right so if ALL you do is don't read or play Magic AT ALL, and you just try to make a Zombie-Elf Tribal Deck based PURELY on the strategies of White Weenies with Green and Black faces, then you will accidentally end up with stupidly synergistic ABILITIES between your cards, FORGET the P/T because that's just how Black-Green works so well together. X.X

This...comboes with cardboad. xP

I'm sure it'd be fun with Growing Ranks.

Clearly underestimated. He's a direct damage spell on a stick, a sac outlet and a regenerating lhurgoyf. He's a good finisher in limited, I anticipate him having a run in constructed, and he is screaming out for a EDH deck. 5/5, hands down.
