Minion of leshrac, Spirit of the night and stillmoon cavalier are all black cards that have protection from black. And XTwistedsoulsX, try reading before you make an @ss of yourself.

It can, because Protection also stops damage. I've seen some Pestilence based pauper decks use Cemetery Gate just because it won't die to Pestilence.

I used to use this in a mean multiplayer pestilence deck, but swapped it out for Wall of Resistance and Wall of Hope.

This actually saw some use in Pestilence decks back in the day, since it freed you from having to play two colors. Of course, there are better options now (Stuffy Doll, anyone?)
