I also don't understand why some magic players hate this old school art--I guess a lot of sensitive Yu-Gi-Oh kids also play MTG.

What the f**k was wrong with the illustrator?! Geez, it's not like werewolves grow outta people's bodies like some sort of parasitic aliens, you know. Ugh.

No, if Greater Werewolf blocks (or is blocked) by a 4/4, Greater Werewolf's ability intiates a delayed triggered ability. Once combat ends, the triggered ability resolves, and the 4/4, who sustained 2 damage from Greater Werewolf, will receive a -0/-2 counter from the delayed triggered ability, and die.

An early form of Wither, sort of. I guess it is technically greater than the Lesser Werewolf, but that's really pushing it.

This card is just plain d*mn weird. Everything about it. -0/-2 counters, a wolf if ripping it's way out of Leonidas's head. No less than 4.5 stars if only for it's oddness.

That's some ugly art, and its ability isn't all that, either. It's essentially a 4/4 for 5, with a weird version of infect.
Not totally worthless, though.

Weird counter type. What's the flavor of that? Deep wounds that don't heal? The art is disturbing and cool too.
