The zombie ain't bad. Two power for two mana is ok, it's ability doesn't cost anything to activate (except saccing him), and with all the graveyard mechanics nowadays (persist, unearth, flashback, retrace, threshold, the incarnations etc) there is nearly always something to remove. So in a zombie deck, I'd play him.

It's got its uses. But no room for the guy in my zombie deck and its mechanics. There are much more needed zombies around in MTG and unfortunately it's ill-advised to have a 70 cards deck so... I'd pass.

Better than Krovikan Scoundrel, but that's not saying much. Still, there's better for graveyard hate and better for cheap black creatures so I can't see myself really using this guy unless I need both a cheap creature and some grave hate in a zombie tribal deck. Odds of that happening: not good.

It's not bad but mostly Withered Wretch is better.

Strictly more flat-chested than Innistrad's Crypt Creeper.
