Might be useful in a deck that eats the graveyard and prevents this from reaching threshhold. Still a lousy card.

They encircle graveyards during Rites of Initiation. Their bone chilling cries only silenced when all of their mouths are feasting on the dead.
I have a playset of these in my rites deck, one in foil, alongside other horrors like Boneshard Slasher , Frightcrawler , and Mesmeric Fiend . When I have enough nightmares, horrors, spirits, I dump my hand and swing for usually 20+. I do not rely on him to give me threshold, but see him more as another black evasive creature that gets a slight boost. And if it dumps something like a Coffin Puppets, Nether Traitor or Bloodghast it deserves to eat up two cards as a reward. It's really awesome to play this have have everyone underestimate it.

I read the first line, and I thought, "Wow, I might want this for my Sedris EDH deck." Then I read the second line, and thought, "Holy crap, I do NOT want this in my Sedris EDH deck! Under any circumstances!"

It could have been a decent self-mill enabler, so why does it have to undo all the work it's done?
Great art, in any case.

This card should cost , and the last ability should give it +2/+2, at least. Then it might be playable. But Nimble Mongoose would probably still be better.
