Good heavens you're right! Leveler has no synergy whatsoever with Obstinate Familiar, you would still remove your library from the game. Except that with Obstinate Familiar in play, you would be able to skip the draw on your next turn and proceed to beat face with a 10/10 for {5}. Although realistically your opponent would then use any removal they could on the little lizard...probably causing you to lose by drawing when you have no cards in your library, although a 10/10 puts some serious pressure on your opponent.

Pretty niche card, but if you see a deck that has only this guy and a couple Chronatog as its creatures, you know that's a deck you don't want to fight.
