Okay, Draining Welk, Phyrexian Devourer, Sawtooth Thresher, Tetravus, Triskelion and this are the creatures with p/t 1/1 for CMC 6 in magic as of now. But Nut Collector is the only one who probably stays this way when he enters play.

Awesome card, green has enough mana ramp to get this guy out quickly enough to produce an army of 3/3's in no time. Imagine winning by overrunning your opponent with squirrels^^

Might be one of the most expensive 1/1s ever printed, held back from the auspicious title only by stuff like Gigantomancer or Scornful Egotist. At least it has squirrel synergy.

yes it's mana cost is very high, it's one of those balanced rares wizards releases which ends up just beings bad. it's almost a joke. come on u couldn't have made it a 2/2? a 1/2? a 0/2? something that can't be instantly pinged? he's a rare for petes sake, 6 mana 1/1 is common card cmc. but he does give a 1/1 squirrel every turn, and if i have thresh hold they are 3/3s... oh i get it now. yeah 6 cmc is reasonable, but he should at least be a 1/2 green is known for it's toughness after all
