Not only are there two versions of . . .whatever this is, but Chaotic Strike is strictly better. Aleatory is the slowtrip version of the worst card in Invasion. It's like a one-legged man with a limp.

The only slight use for this card i could think of is Chance Encounter, and even then it's still pretty useless.
A slowtrip for two mana that might not even do anything? No, thanks.

This card is dung. a 50% chance to get +1/+1 for 2CC? Even I can't think of anything useful to do here. Boo.
.5/5

Even when it was printed, this card was useless.

A 50% chance to almost do something useful... and you get a card later... after wondering why you played this silly card in the first place. PASS!!!

For 2 mana, with the restrictions on when you can play it, +1/+1 isn't enough. Add in the coin-flip to get the effect, and it's clear this needs to give at least a +3/+3 bonus. Perhaps +3/+3 with "if you lose the flip, return this card to your hand at end of turn", or a straight +1/+1 with "if you win the flip, that creature gets an aditional +2/+2".

What a needlessly convoluted Feral Instinct. Considering that Feral Instinct was printed in the next set, it's baffling why they went and printed this card, as it's nearly strictly-worse.
Even Chance Encounter decks have better options than this. It's funny that the champion coin-flipper himself (Frenetic Efreet) is in this exact same set.

@scumbling1: Comparing green spells to red spells is like comparing apples to oranges. Green is a combat trick master, from the get go they had Giant Growth and Berserk. Red is burn master and red combat effects are normally plain to see.
But WoTc has fumbled this twice: if only they used +2/+2 and we'd look this card differently.
Funny that it's C U M that's censored not S C U M.

considering I get the draw effect for the next turn regardless of whether I win the flip or not, I'll give this card a * rating. strictly speaking, paying 2 mana for a card draw isn't that bad a deal. getting the chance to pump a creature this turn through a vary convoluted manner is a silly, gratifying bonus.
