@drp527: lol I almost felt like pulling the Sparta joke after reading that last sentence. But yeah, that's pretty much how it works; you discard this in response to somebody casting a spell, and then you cast it targeting the spell on the stack. It's kinda hard to pull off outside of madness decks, but in a madness deck, it's a potentially more powerful version of Mana Leak for potentially less mana.

Really great flavor.

When combined with Merfolk Looter, this was often, "U: Counter target spell. Draw a card."
