Use Vedalken Orrery to flash it on your opponent's turn when you have him Mindslavered. You don't need an infinite loop to win by 5.8x10^58 life when you can just have him bid that much.

The art is cruel because it is cruel to auction a creature. The card is fun for the players because most effects in Magic aren't as interesting, but I don't think the effect is too fun for the creature, which is being treated as property.
