This should be reprinted in a Core with some Griffins. That is the sort of thing they should be doing over printing the same cards 8 cores in a row. Let's see Griffins, Insects, Warriors, Skeletons, and Drakes all get a shot in the next core set (just throwing some tribes out there. You don't have to pick them apart as to why those are particularly bad ideas, but they do exist and should get more love).

I remember getting the Mirage cardlist before the set came out and seeing this guy on there. I was sure this meant there would be more awesome griffin-related cards coming out. That even seemed to be the case when Griffin Canyon came out in the following set. Then, nothing... well nothing worth playing at any rate. Certainly no other Griffin Lord like Zuberi here.
For a race of mythical mash-up bad-asses, Griffins sure get the raw end of the deal. The most playable one is Azorius First-Wing, and from there it goes downhill. How sad is that?

Great flavor, and not too bad either.

Beautiful art and interesting tribal lord for a tribe with between one and zero playable cards.

(Switch out the ( ) with in the link. It keeps wanting to make a otherwise, lol.)
There's 7 in the Mirage block, including this guy. So I'd say there's plenty for 'ol Zuberi.
