But the 4 power rating is high incentive for your opponent to block it rather than get hit for 4 everyturn. Which translates into mor dead creatures than something that would just be swinging away for 1 everyturn.

Simply too expensive
In deathtouched creatures the power doesn't care, so yuo are really paying 4GR for a 1/5 creature with deathtouch.
Anyway, this is how powercreep works.
