Impulse is another card in the mold of Brainstorm, Ponder, and Preordain. If you like Vintage or Legacy, you'll want a bunch of copies of these for all your decks. If you like Commander, get 1 copy of every single card in Gatherer that looks remotely like this. (2cmc or less)

Not many cards have been reprinted at mythic after being originally printed at common. When From the Vault: Twenty comes out, this card shall join that select group.

They changed it because it was never meant to be there. IIRC it was a goof up by the templating group.

They should've never removed the shuffle part. A very used card back in the day that was not too easy to replace.

Pretty sure removing the shuffle generally makes it better, since you get to take the best card and put the useless ones on the bottom, increasing your chances for a good draw. It does suck if you see two important cards and have to put one out of reach, but I don't think that will happen too often.
