very underrated. I run 4 in my sigil of the empty throne deck. This card is nice because it gives earlygame protection options, which the deck seriously needs. It's even better than something like ghostly prison just because it fits the mana curve way better, and if you want a 3 mana enchantment to protect you, solitary confinement > ghostly prison for the deck.
this card's also not useless lategame when playing this for 1 mana can put 4/4 angels into play and/or draw tons of cards.

Mirage and Visions still gets my vote for the magic era with the best art.

Run in {W}{R}{G}, and you can pay for its cumulative upkeep cost with the (also!) enchantment Braid of Fire!

Gotta love these cards that randomly hose a color on top of already being backbreaking. Much better than all the other propaganda effects due to its low low cost.

After reading several comments, it seems some either don't understand or are misinterpreting what "cumulative" means.
From the MTG rulebook:
702.22. Cumulative Upkeep
702.22a. Cumulative upkeep is a triggered ability that imposes an increasing cost on a permanent. “Cumulative upkeep 'cost'” means “At the beginning of your upkeep, put an age counter on this permanent. Then you may pay 'cost' for each age counter on it. If you don’t, sacrifice it.” If 'cost' has choices associated with it, each choice is made separately for each age counter, then either the entire set of costs is paid, or none of them is paid. Partial payments aren’t allowed.
