i got one of these at the gatecrash prerelease! :p i like how it dodges creature removal in the form of sorcery and enchantment. if your opponent wants to rid of him, they have to target it with instants. which means, obzedat is resistant to 50% of removal spells. he comes back to suck your opponent's life and can even attack too, with its 5/5 haste body.

There's a lot of talk about how so little removal exists in STD that can kill this. While they are hardly efficient I feel obligated to point out Magmaquake, Explosive Impact, Street Spasm, Volcanic Geyser, Ambush Viper, Avenging Arrow, Divine Verdict, Rebuke , Murder, Launch {Party, Public Execution, Smite the Monstrous, Skirsdag Cultist, Victim of Night Tribute to Hunger, Cinder Elemental, Devour Flesh, Rapid Hybridization and Thunderous Wrath.
That aside, this card is horribly, ridiculously and infuriatingly pushed when Gruul gets almost nothing good.
