As a casual player, I'm really happy to see impressive commons being printed! Giving the "less privileged" a chance is always oh so cool...
Plus they're putting a bunch of this stuff in the intro packs.
Just great!
5/5 for being both good AND common

Good lord, and we all thought Centaur Healer was pushed power level for a common o_O

The fact that this is common makes Boros super tasty for limited.
Also, expect this to see significant play if R/W aggro is viable. There's no other aggro two drop in the same league except Ash Zealot, so this can definitely replace Gore-house Chainwalker.

Definitely my favorite common of the set. A 3/2 for 2 at common is good enough, conditional first strike is just icing on the cake.

Value common right here. 3/2 for 2 is already above the curve (remember, watchwolf was an uncommon and was in green to boot, the color of large creatures). Adding the potential for first strike is insane.

Oh Jesus, it's a human to boot...
5/5 for relevant cost, body, rarity, and creature type.

Being a gold card, it should be slightly better than Garruk's Companion. (Having a more restrictive cost and all)
Unfortunately it's not, but it still gets the job done as long as you're proc'ing battalion.
A perfect fit in any Boros deck.

Very quality common. This could be the Goblin Electromancer of this set.

3/2 for 2 mana that can get first strike is amazing. Good in constructed play
