Wow. That 4 toughness is guaranteed to evolve every creature you've cast before it, and that 0 power guarantees that creatures cast after it will evolve it. Excellent design!

Why do I feel like all the evolve creatures are broken? It upsets me, because I wanna draft Simic but I'll never get a chance since everyone else will be doing it (that is what happened to me with Selesnya in RTR).

I am in l o v e. this is probably my favorite evolve card, absolutely amazing. High toughness to keep him alive, low power so just about anything buffs him

The best creatures are the ones that change the board position the turn they hit the board, and this guy is that all over. He's almost guaranteed to evolve any turn-1, turn-2, or turn-3 play before him, and his 4 toughness allows him to evolve the ever-important Renegade Krasis even after it's been evolved once before.
At the same time, this guy takes time to get powered up, and he can be removed far more easily than your typical Invisible Stalker. A downside? Totally. But it just feels right for a card to be this balanced.

This guy is the all-star of my simic jerk deck. I use him to get in and trigger Bred for the Hunt and Bident of Thassa (in addition to being an unblockable grower who's also an amazing blocker when the need arises).
