Oh, this is an aura!? I thought that is a terrible instant, so it's actually not that bad.

This card is underrated. It kills almost anything in a dedicated mill deck. It will never be a dead card in your hand.

This card was made for mill decks.

Sure, Doomblade and Go for the Throat can kill on turn 2 (or 1 if you have ramp), but as the game goes on, Death's Approach will definitely become stronger. Simply play cards like Traumatize and Glimpse the Unthinkable (both Dimir!) and chances are you will have milled enough creatures to drop anything you enchant this card with.

The synergy with other cards also works well. Lazav, Dimir Mastermind can take advantage of all those milled creature cards going into your opponents graveyard. Chainer, Dementia Master, Body Double, Necrotic Ooze, Geth, Lord of the Vault, Coffin Queen, and more can also all benefit.

Throw in some more mill cards like Mind Sculpt, Nemesis of Reason, and Sanity Grind... (see all)

Great card in a mil deck. As long as the deck is good at doing its job, Death's Approach is basically a really cheap kill card.
