As it's been said a lot, this card works with +1/+1 counters.
That Vorel of the Hull Clade is going to be Simic's Champion in DGM. Let's hope for something awesome!

Since all +1/+1 counters stay on the creature, imaging what this does to a Nimbus Swimmer, Prime Speaker Zegana, of Primordial Hydra.
