Alot of you guys don't play alot of casual multiplayer, do ya? This is like the best sweeper ever printed for the kitchen table. Mean indestructible artifact deck got you down? No problem. Enchantress deck running out of controll? Not anymore. Planeswalker about to bust your face in? Good riddance. Oh yeah and it deals with creatures too! And this is all on one reasonably costed card. I'd pay 7 or 8 for that, I play stuff like Decree of Pain and Disaster Radius all the time, you just have to build your deck to have access to lots of mana.
And cheesy puff, saying something is not good because "it's counterable" is worse then saying "it dies to removal". I know your just looking through a spikes eyes but come on man.

This is what a board wipe should be! Stabilizes the board and stabilizes it in the way you want it to be stabilized. Got too much of your stuff Oblivion Ringed? Sick of your friend abusing the Deadeye Navigator/Thragtusk combo? Liliana of the Veil is ready to ultimate? Just take care of it. Yes, it's pricey, but exile is infinitely better then just destroying it. Very nice card. So happy to have it.

Good main deck if your curve implies you'll be in for the long haul. I use it in my {B}{W} clerics deck. Either I have board control; or I'm about to :D
@awkward
Oops! I didn't save my edit. I think it was:
"Choose a permanent type other than land:",
Which means you're incorrect; Soldiers are a subtype I believe, thus you couldn't choose it. Soldier isn't a type of permanent, there just happen to be permanents with the subtype Soldier.

Has anyone else noticed that this seems to be what Mercurial Chemister is pictured holding?

Oh my goodness... what's the flavour here? Is this just an interesting Ravnican interpretation of the "exile" concept (eviction), or is this literally some magical eviction that the Obzedat use when their contracts are broken? Actually evicting something, or someone, from existence?
Plus I like the flavour texts with Aurelia talking to Gideon Jura as if he's just a regular everyday normal guy (see Boros Elite... this card just has a lot going for it. 5/5.

All four options are powerful, especially when they are done in the fashion of exile. Removing planeswalker is one of its greatest addition, consider how few spells out there actually destroy them utterly; en mass, I might add.

I dislike this board state. Bring me a new one.

The ability to use a board wipe that exiles instead of destroys is so great. No more Asceticism, no more Avacyn, Angel of Hope, this time, you re actually going to lose your permanents.

That's pretty epic. If this card is used, it will almost always be used for creatures. But it could also be used to stop Hellkite Tyrant.

I was so excited when I drafted this card! It wins games, too. This is one of those cards that makes me feel bad for serious spikes. If this card looks bad to you, you are missing out on a lot of fun cards.
