And so it came to pass, that we got badass art, and 80% of the comments for this printing will be about its art.

Balanced, powerful walker who has seen a lot of play + New and much improved art = Great success.

Most Planeswalkers break their card frames. It's a Planeswalker thing, 'cause they're so special.

Like another comment I read on Nissa, Sorin's +1 ability creates tokens. Sure, they might not be that powerful, but they can often serve as chump blockers or even attackers, especially when you use his
-2 ability. The vampire tokens can protect Sorin while you prepare for his -2 or even his -6 ability. Don't forget that they will gain you life. with enough +1/+0 emblems, you can gain massive amounts of life and formidable attackers.
Sure the white/black combo might interfere with your deck building a bit, but this is why you have Orzhov. With extort, you can gain even more life and delay until his secondary or ultimate ability. If you are worried about blockers or hasted attackers, Blind Obedience might be good to put in the deck. Although, with his new colors, Vampire Nocturnus may not be the best pick to put in a Vampire deck anymore. Maybe a Moat or protection sphere to stall.
Great Planeswalker. Great art. I hope that Tibalt dies swiftly.

Sorin's deck is good, but it needs more ways to abuse the tokens like intangible virtue or mabey splash green for glare of subdual and squirrel/saproling generators. The +1/0 emblem helps.

I feel like right after he posed for his original Lord of Innistrad card Tibalt made a farting noise and distracted him for this one.

This is the art the original card should've had. Great in Orzhov or Esper midrange decks.

Lol I can't even look at this card without chuckling at the demonic photobomb in the bottom right.

I haven't played with many planeswalkers, but this is far and away my favorite one that I've played with. I run a more aggro version of Orzhov in standard (using cards like Vampire Nighthawk, Frontline Medic, etc.), and I usually just get the emblem out right from the moment I cast him and don't bother with the vampire token ability. If he lives the next turn, then I'll start making vampires.
He's incredibly efficient and causes massive headaches for opponents. The resources they will devote to get rid of him a turn or two after he's played will make a lot of people kick themselves, wishing they had saved them for another time. Admittedly, I've never got to use his ultimate ability, but I have to admit it sounds fun. A must have card for any black/white deck in standard or modern, and he'll kick a lot of ass.

Pairing the worst planeswalker ever (no not this!) to one of the best is dumb. I would probably rate this in the top 5 planeswalkers of all time. That -2 is incredible.
1) Jace, The Mind Sculptor
2) Karn Liberated
3) Liliana of the Veil
4) Tezzeret the Seeker
5) This.
