Only the second white Viashino. I hope this means more creature type color spreading in the future as well.

Yeah, make sure you guys understand the importance of a three drop with haste in a battalion deck.
Boros goes:
T1 1 drop
T2 1-2 drop, maybe swing
T3 3 drop haste, swing all and get battalion bonuses
Limited gold and great stuff for a kitchen table battalion deck 4/5

As a long time Viashino fan I concur that this is the best Viashino printed since Urza Block. I used a casual tribal deck full of Viashinos in 1999, but the only decent ones were the Viashino Cutthroat, Viashino Sandstalker, Viashino Sandscout and sometimes the Viashino Heretic. The rest were solidly mediocre and every one printed since they returned in Invasion has been completely underwhelming...underpowered and too expensive to cast.
But it is puzzling that he doesn't have first strike.
