This is an amazing choice. Fits straight into every limited deck, and uncommon at that!

@Earthdawn: Unearth, hah, I love it! Never would've thought of that.

Also, took me ages to work out why this was rare, never clicked that it would keep coming back. Wow. And yet it got downgraded? Heck, if you O-ring this breaking the enchantment will still have it bouncing back with the counters...

The Obi-Wan Bug. "If you strike me down, I will become more powerful than you could ever imagine."

This so sexy as an uncommon, though i'll admit I have become psychologically biased towards the rarity of the card. It looks cooler with the Future Sight symbol

Good god, this thing at uncommon? He's the gift that keeps on giving; slot him into every limited deck all the time every time. Try him with Rift Elemental to shotgun him out every time he dies.

"Why oh why couldn't it be a common now? I want to Unearth it in Pauper :)"

@Earthdawn They want to keep their Commons simple.
Epocharasite is probably considered too complex as a Common card:
It gets counters, but only if it's not cast normally. It gets suspended when it dies, which means it needs to be taken care of with yet another kind of counters in exile each turn...

If every Common required that much attention, Drafts would get a lot less straight-forward.
Then again, there are a couple of similar exceptions, and it doesn't hurt if only about 1% of the Commons are like this.

Admittedly, i'd have like the idea at least as much as you do, even if only for the fact that jumps from Rare to Common and vice versa are hilarious. (Thinking of another, very particular 1/1 for two mana - that actually managed to pull off in both directions.)

Love this one to bits, and great as an uncommon here. Use Doubling Season, Corpsejack Menace and the like to make this guy a genuine pain in the backside.

@Shane: Yes, it'd be better. And it'd be broken as hell.

Now, onto theory crafting time: Clone. A Clone that copies Epochrasite should get the resurrection clause, but after it's exiled it ceases to be a copy of Epochrasite. However, because of the wording of Epochrasite's resurrection clause it should still gain Suspend 3. However, it comes into play as a Clone which mean it can copy something else!

Bonus points: Clone comes into play from exile and copies Epochrasite. It comes into play as a copy, but from exile, therefore it gets the 3 +1/+1 counters. Huzzah, clone hilarity!

I agree with flavioal, I'm not sure I like the look of the modern masters set symbol in general. It looks like some weird photoshop placeholder you might see in some YMTC forum.

2 for a 1/1, that potentially will keep coming back to do some work as a 4/4.

Would like it a lot better if it cost 1 with a "leaves the battlefield" clause instead of dies.
