More interesting than just using sorcery spells. it allows sorcery speed abilities until a sorcery is actually played (see the suspend ruling) meaning cards like Savageborn Hydra can be pumped at instant speed via this card and multiple times (or until either the end of the turn or until you actually cast a sorcery).

Doesn't work that way my friend. First of all, reading the actual card, it says "the next sorcery card". And in the ruling it specifically mentions the ability of suspending sorceries (which I don't think makes much sense either, by the way), it doesn't say anything about sorcery-speed abilities

I'd prefer something with uncounterability like savage summoning, but that doesn't make this any less of a fantastic addition to Izzet decks everywhere.
I really think that Vindicate could either be reprinted, or melded together with this to make a "Destroy target permanent" card for {2}{W}{B} or something. I would love to see that.

This is my favorite card in Standard at the moment. It enables blue to leave mana untapped for counters, and play the sorceries at opponents EOT. A list of cards that could appear in various control decks that go well with Quicken:
