@JSSarfin Planar Cleansing has seen play as a two-of in some Esper control decks. Sometimes it's just good to also hit that stray Domri sitting over there.
Although with Voice of Resurgence and Xanthrid Necromancer around, and lots of ways to make everything indestructible or regenerate things, I'm starting to think maybe Merciless Eviction might be better as your Supreme Verdict #5 and 6.

4 drop mass destruction has always driven me crazy... but 6 mana is a bit unfair on the control players. Why can't we have a few seasons with solid 5-ers?

The reason they didn't reprint Day of Judgment is because Supreme Verdict will be in Standard for another year, so we already have a four-mana sweeper. This also points to them printing another four-mana sweeper in Theros, a set based on Greek mythology. With all the references to "gods" in the myths, could this mean that WOTC will reprint Wrath of God in Theros? Let the speculation begin!

*sigh* Another year without 4-mana mass removal.

Goddamit WOTC, nobody ever plays this card in Standard! It's too slow and too white-mana centric!
Stop beating around the bush and reprint Day of Judgement / Wrath of God already!

Being able to hit Planeswalkers with this is really nice, although being six mana and needing three W can be hard to manage sometimes.
