Bloodthirst...bloodthirst creatures REALLY need you to commit hard to making sure you bloodthirst every turn, because they honestly are terrible if you don't have those counters. :P
And yeah, you might say 'well, duh, you are supposed to use the mechanic. it's a hoop to jump through'.
Metalcraft, as another example of just such a 'hoop mechanic', was a lot easier to ensure than Bloodthirst. :P
At least it's not Threshold. There are a couple ways to make Threshold really EASY to get...none of them involve legitimate, fair, fun, unbanned cards tho XD
