Flavor text is totally badass.
One of the best heroic cards, just a bit weak before you trigger heroic.
Also, this is one of the most Klingon cards in Magic history!

Ridiculous synergy with the cycle of Ordeals.

Stolen Identity. Make a 6/6. Get a new 3/3. Attack. Make a 6/6 (or 9/9). Get a new 3/3. Attack.

By Heliod's spear, this looks amazing! Giant growth becomes permeant, auras get crazy... at uncommon? I feel like there's something I'm missing about Heroic...

If you want this than you'll have to be quite committed to heroic enables, but if you are you'll be quite happy.

Bioshift anyone? Trigger Heroic twice, and give that Fabled Hero FOUR +1/+1 counters?

I run this guy in a WG heroic centric deck and it's great. The ordeals are really fun on this guy yes, but my 2 favorite cards to put on this are Gift of Orzhova (flyinng+lifelink ftw) and Murder Investigation (Sure he's really big, but if you kill him, I'm going to swarm you to death).
The Murder Investigation choice is especially fun because I also run Phalanx Leader, and his heroic just gets better and better the more creatures you get.

About three mana more expensive than Nivix Cyclops, and in a worse color for the kinds of spells you'd want to be using, too.
Still, one swing is all it takes. Or all it should take, anyway.

This thing gets really big, really fast in a slow Limited format. For example, in match 2 of 3, I died to a 25/25 intimidating, trampling, deathtouching Centaur Battlemaster. It was then that I realized just how unfair putting trample and deathtouch together really is.
