One way or another, it's not a wasted draft pick. a 5/6 for is nothing to scoff at. The ability to turn your humans into costed Prodigal Pyromancer's might or might not make a difference.

Well hello there Werewolf transformation enabler. Not amazing, but the ability to spend my turn's mana burning out creatures or the opposing player (on their turn without adding to the spell count) is pretty useful.
I mean, it's not outstanding in a tournament setting (which would be modern minimum), but certainly seems decent in a werewolf EDH deck.

I really do hope that its fan nickname becomes "Prometheus".
@Flavour text: I beg to differ. Self-sustaining nuclear fusion beats it on both points. It is precious, because if we harnessed it, it would mean effectively unlimited, sustainable and environmentally friendly energy for us, and in addition, the Sun is basically the source of energy for all almost all life on Earth. It is perilous, because there are enormous powers at play, far more so than through simple combustion, as is obvious when one observes the magnificent solar flares of the sun, which gives us auroras and can even short-circuit electronics on Earth, when big enough.

Sin #144: Prometheus isn't getting his liver eaten out in this scene.

Am I the only one who's enough of a Johnny to want to build a deck around this guy and High Priest of Penance?

Mmm, flavor. Not sure why Prometheus is made of rocks, though.

It's nothing I'd much care for regarding constructed, although some might find use of it in Commander.
But this should be solid in limited.
