This is actually pretty exciting. It's a relevantish creature type on the tokens. I wanna run them with Field Marshal, Veteran Armorsmith, etc.

@Codeflayer: Man, if only this card that can generate literally DOZENS OF TOKENS cost 2 less mana.

If this was CMC 4 it would be an excellent card. As it is, I find it unplayable. WoTC please give us some decent White devotion cards in the next set.

The teaming up of this and Phalanx Leader gave me a pretty flashy turnaround victory in a limited game, last night.

This is actually QUITE good in THS-block Limited the more tools we get for a White Weenie (or W/x Weenie) deck. I actually 1st-placed a Sealed tourny on MTGO today with a W/B deck that had a few plans of attack -- but one of its main win cons was to combine Evangel of Heliod with Phalanx Leader (with some Heroic triggers of course), and Spear of Heliod to "go wide". Getting between six and ten 2/2 Soldiers that IMMEDIATELY become 3/3's is no joke!
Is this card a White Gray Merchant? HELL no. But, built around in Limited he can truly be just about as powerful.

@Continue: You're comparing an Uncommon to a Mythic Rare. Of course the uncommon is going to compare unfavourably. Now, personally, I don't think Mythic Rares should automatically be better than less rare cards, like they unfortunately often are, but the fact of the matter is that that's the way that WotC wants it to be. In either case, I still prefer Springjack Shepherd over either of them. I tell you, nothing can beat goats, man.
