The art on this is horrendous (especially now since MTG has upped the standard on all its cards). It is particularly "outstanding" in the trailer when blown up. I logged in just to comment on this.

Water ISNT blue! its transparent! (blue comes from the reflection of the sky, but still the water must have a sense of fluidity and transparency. The ability to render water is a hallmark of a great artist) Is she bathing in laundry detergent? the colours on her are amateurish as well. WOTC, I do appreciate you guys giving new artists the chance, but please, have some QC

This might sound bold, but i think this card is a little better than augur of bolas. Close equals at the least.

With augur you cant make sure you hit land drops, and you put planeswalkers, enchantments, and creatures on the bottom. (Namely Jace architect of thought and aetherling)

With omenspeaker even though you don't draw a card, not drawing a card you don't need is pretty much the same.(better card quality instead of card advantage)

Sometimes with omen speaker you don't end up changing anything, sometimes augur wiffs too.

@Immelmann: Not sure if you knew this, but water is in fact very faintly blue. It shouldn't be this blue of course, but calling water transparent is just a little wrong.

I see Simic written all over this card. This could go a very long way to making evolve work (maybe not competitively, but at least make evolve much better). The evolve mechanic relies on close to ideal on-curve drops. It also relies on a very creature heavy deck, so instants and sorceries with scry and/or draw don't tend to synergize very well. On the other hand, evolve has been needing desperately a creature like this to make its draws work in its favor. Here is a card that evolves every single one-, two-, and three-drop evolve card (it can evolve the one drops twice!), and it itself is a two-drop that can dig for what you need, in the order you need to play it. The 3 toughness is especially relevant to such a deck independent of the evolving it provides, since a deck like this has to have good blockers early in order to survive into the mid- and late-game against faster decks. It will be fun to build with this. 4/5.

The flavor of the card is interesting. She appears to be hol... (see all)

Comparing with scroll thief. Same body for cheaper and this guys utility is ETB, so you still get benefit if they remove, all for 1 less mana.

Yes I replaced my thiefs with this guy right when I found out about it.
