My favorite artist only had one card in the entire set, and it has to be on this piece of....meh. :/

Paraselene was mad it was rotating out, so it petitioned Wizards to put its somewhat ineffective son into Theros.
It's not utterly terrible I suppose.

Maindeckable in this limited environment. The instant speed will allow for destruction mid-combat and lead to some profitable blocks.

Eh... can't I just have an aura blast please? Costs less mana and cantrips.

When you first look at the art, it's not obvious that the room is an enchantment. But then you read the card, and the illusion is gone, very flavoursome.

@majinara I agree that it's a better card, but it would have been too strong in limited. As is Ray of Dissolution is very strong in Theros limited.

3 cmc for instant (in this set) creature removal AND 3 life? Totally a good addition to white limited.
I ended up with 2 in my seald pool for prerelease. Ran 1 main deck, and sided the other in versus a heavily-saturated bestow deck. It is a VERY solid creture removal spell in this set, and the 3 life is also a great addition. I whole-heartily suggest viewing this AS creature removal in this set, for limited at least.

Um... Solemn Offering?
I guess that's the difference between sorcery and instant. I might use this one just for kicks. I like the art.

Sad that I had to toss these. I didn't enjoy how every time I flipped through my cards I'd confuse the art with that of Chosen by Heliod, which (aside from being more fun to play) is both more colorful and has a subject in it. They reprinted Demolish right after M14 so I can't see why they wouldn't have used this slot on the beautiful Solemn Offering instead. Certainly wouldn't have minded a third set of temple signs before the M15 frames rolled in...

I noticed the mosaic in the background for the first time today, so out of curiosity i took a closer look at it to enjoy the art....
a few seconds later i was suprised that the artist actually got away with depicting thassa fully frontal topless, and unlike the usual "breasts as flat orbs" he actually got away with giving hervisible nipples Oo
