Is it just me, but whenever I cast this guy, he dies during the opponent's next turn. It just happens, and I don't know why...

This guy is awesome, but my only question is why is he the Hero of Iroas? What does Iroas have to do with Auras? I thought he was kind of a Boros/creature swarm God.
