This would easily be the worst creature in the set if not for its synergy with inspired. It's a shame that you have to pay mana and tap creatures to buff this thing, and defender certainly isn't helping it, but it's not as bad as I once thought. Plus, the flavor's pretty cool. 1.5/5

A pump wall designed to trigger inspired isn't exactly worth that much mana, but he does drop a good wall defense and combo with Phenax early enough to be somewhat competitive in the right deck, so I can't call him totally useless.

This is generally not very good, although it may have a role in mill decks based on Doorkeeper and Phenax.

Should have lost Defender when it pumps.

Fairly robust wall at a slightly steep casting cost with a decent pump that is an excellent mana dump for inspired decks at the end of your opponent's turn. Tap Servent of Tyramets for easy drain life, or Sirens of the Silent song for easy discard triggers and soft mills. He'd be better if he had a way to deal with something evasive in any way since bloating it to block is prohibitively expensive in the kind of decks it fits in.

Need your creatures to untap on your turn without attacking? Pump this tree at the end of your enemies turn and untap away.

Good chump blocker. Use creatures with inspired to pump, then kill attackers, then gain inspired benefits.
