So one way that WotC tried to differentiate enchantment creatures from just plain creatures is by taking iconic enchantments and slapping them onto creatures. Unfortunately for them, there exists a type of creature called 'Magus' that already did this and they aren't enchantments. So it's just another failed gimmick that doesn't really resonate in any way.
Er, as for the card itself, it's fine. I'd be happy to pay an extra mana to give myself a 3/4 on top of an Underworld Dreams. Still, if your deck is trying to fully utilize this drawing-into-damage effect, I doubt your deck is really going to care about killing your opponent through creature damage anyhow. Still, a second Dreams is not bad.

You know what I like about this card and Nekusar, the Mindrazer? It's not black's typical lifeloss, it's damage. Let's be really evil here and play Nekusar Infect! Grafted Exoskeleton, Glistening Oil, and Phyresis to grant infect. Then, Contagion Clasp + Contagion Engine and Inexorable Tide for proliferate. Then, to be really evil, throw in Otherworld Atlas to match the proliferate.
No one will ever play with you again and Phyrexia shall be pleased.

On the one hand, this is a lot easier to kill than Underworld Dreams, but on the other, it's a LOT more splashable, and it's got a pretty beefy body all in all. So I'd say they're about on par.
Also, unlike Underworld Dreams, this gains a lot from damaging players, as it can be equipped with Neko-Te, among other things.

Establish board position, get Jace to Seven, 20 points of damage to the opponent.

Every once in a while, a card from a contemporary set really shines. Lovely and distinctive art. Chunky body. Good ability. While you probably won't see this in anything competitive, it's just right for the game. Flavour text feels a bit blunt... I wish there weren't the compulsion to shoehorn everything into the lore. You know who probably said something equivalent, but more elegantly phrased? The classical Greek philosophers and poets, and their myriad translators who spent lifetimes trying to find words that do justice to the concepts being explained.
I don't mean to rag on you guys. Just need some sugar, maybe. Flavour text > reminder text. Keep it up! 5/5

Why does this card do damage as opposed to life loss (which is traditional in black)? The answer: to deal with enemy planeswalkers. This hag would kill Jace if he brainstormed, which is pretty interesting.
