I think it's always important to take a second look at cards that promise card advantage for a decent cost. Even outside of Limited this little guy may see a deck since it gives two creatures as well as a 2/2 body for a mere 3 mana. Compare this to Gravedigger which is 4 mana and you can see value-town written all over this creature. Sure, it's a bit more narrow in that it needs 'enchantment' creatures, but it's still worth tinkering with. If only it were a common for us Pauper players..

If this guy had been splashed with anything but white, he would have gone in any number of my EDH decks. Ah well, still great if you're running Orzhov colours I guess.

The synergy with WB bestows is obvious, but jesus is that a lot of synergy. Bestows already have staying power, and this guy wonderfully gets back that fallen T1 Shieldmate or Eidolon for a second go helping something else out.

Actually, the flavor makes sense to me. Returned retain some basic semblance of their personality and skills, so this returned was probably a hero of some sorts. In death he travels into Odunos, the evil undead city where he "rescues" inhabitants. The second time he travels it though he gets sacrificed because he doesn't make it back.
I mean...unless I'm totally reading to much into this.
Anyways, excellent card, love the art.
