Activated hexproof: it's fair, because I only have it when I need it.

Now this was a quick reprint.

Our lady gorgon here is going to be a powerful beater in Vraska's deck, and I can guarantee that you'll be activating her second ability far more than her first. Most of Jace's creatures will be unable to deal 5 damage to the Reaper alone, and since you're not going up against any sweepers or non-targeting removal, having Hexproof is going to be a big deal.

Although being at 4CMC is going to get the Reaper out a turn earlier, be cautious if your local Jace is sitting on four untapped lands, as both Prohibit and Summoner's Bane require that much mana to counter her.

Having the only Scry effect in the Duel Decks should be a nice bonus for Vraska, but I can't help but to wonder how often Jace's milling will mess with it. Should be interesting to see just how well one deck works against the other this March.

In Standard, if you've got no mana open, it still doesn't die to:

Doom Blade
Ultimate Price
Mizzium Mortars
Warleader's Helix
Bile Blight
Lightning Strike
Anger of the Gods
Drown in Sorrow
Magma Jet

Out of all the most commonly played removal spells, this pretty much only leaves Detention Sphere, Dreadbore and Hero's Downfall. Yeah, I think Reaper is bound to make an impact on Standard at some point, either when JOU introduces the B/G scryland or after rotation.
