It would be hilarious to sacrifice this guy to a Rescue from the Underworld on an opponent's turn. Wipe the board clean, and on your next turn you have your 10/10 creature back.

Combos with Gift of Immortality.
Put the Gift on him, then sac him. He returns immediately. At the beginning of the end step, stack the triggers so Gift returns first, and then the boom occurs. All permanents are destroyed, Bearer returns, and another pair of triggers pop up for the next end step.
Note that when the trigger goes off at the end of the turn before yours, you get him back before your turn starts, so you can attack with him that turn. Have fun swinging with a 10/10 on a permanently empty board.

One thing to note that unlike a lot of cards like this, there's pretty much no room for shenanigans, the permanents go at the end step. So, you can't float a bunch of mana, destroy him and then play a bunch of cards.
Also, seeing as he doesn't set lifetotals, it probably won't be too big a deal in Commander, given stuff like Decree of Annihilation isn't banned.
