There seems to be some confusion about the general purpose of rarity these days.
Rarity simply means that you are more or less likely to pull it from a pack (and also, to a certain extent, thanks to New World Order, it also means the card may be more or less complex). What all of you are arguing is that a card (Bearer of the Heavens) that will only be used at the kitchen table should be pushed up in rarity because it's "epic", which in turn also means that you're pushing it farther away from the kitchen table players. Tournament players, the ones who are likely to go out of their way to buy useful mythics, will take one look at cards like Bearer of the Heavens and immediately dismiss it as unplayable. The kitchen table players would love to play that card, but they can't because their limited budget means that none of them pulled one from a pack because it's a mythic rare.

This card is great and all, but I like it mostly for the fact that Double Strike and Trample are both on a creature naturally.

I really want this card to be good. If it were pushed even slightly more I'd be pretty amazed that the.printed it. It is just so high variance. Damn you, Doom Blade and ilk.

@OlvynChuru: Yes and no. Bearer deserves mythic status, but that doesn't make Wizards corrupt in any way. Rarity isn't a power indicator; it's a frequency limiter.

When it connects, you get 2 of Chandra, Pyromaster's 0 ability, which is my favorite for that card, because Red has trouble generating card advantage. I like mythics like these, powerful but not overpowered cards that beg you to build around them.

They coulda given him haste, I don't have too much of a problem with pushed cards, this could have been an interesting contrast to TNN (this kinda card draw is good). He could still be a house at some point, just not sure.
