Had someone draw both this and Ajani against me in a draft, and get them both out. Although infinite turns is tough, consistent extra turns is not. It very quickly became where I was taking 1 turn for every 2-3 of theirs. Made for a crazy game though. They hit that, and Ajani's 100 and I still barely won w/ Constellation and Armament of Nyx.

It is actually surprisingly easy to get massive numbers of turns from this card, especially in my BUG +1/+1 counter ramp. With cards such as Renegade Krasis, Master Biomancer, and Corpsejack Menace, his 5 counter requirement becomes trivial.
Using cards like Give // Take and Vorel of the Hull Clade, in addition with Bioshift and Corpsejack Menace, he can be ramped up to massive numbers of counters with extreme ease.
If I do it properly, I can have Sage of Hours at over 5,000 counters when it enters, resulting in one thousand turns. While 5 - 10 extra turns is more likely, it isn't much of a step up to take thousands of turns. Using Master Biomancer, Corpsejack Menace, Vorel of the Hull Clade, and Kalonian Hydra (and an opponent who didn't want to forfeit),... (see all)
