People who dismiss this card haven't played against it. 0/3 is a substantial blocker, and scrying every turn is almost as good as drawing an extra card.

Yeah I slapped Oppressive Rays on this. Twice. Didn't even need to see it in action to respect it.

Ehhh.
Not a huge fan of scry. I guess if you're playing Flamespeaker Adept it's fine, but I wouldn't play this too often.
My problem with scry is that if you scry 1 once in a turn and put the card on top, any and all scry 1 effects you would play for the rest of the turn is totally useless. If scry 2+ was a thing in Theros block, I'd be a lot happier with this. But as it stands, it's not my favorite card ever.

I got 2 of them at prerelease these guys saved me so many times
they keep you save and let you draw answers against aggro strategies till turn 5 and by then you're able to win with big stuff alone

Good design does not a good Magic card make.
Even though I love durdling, I never want to see this card in my 40, and certainly not in my 60. I'll take my Omenspeaker, thank you.

Was surprisingly handy at the pre-release. Easily defends during the early game, while setting you up for a nice curve. And dang, it's pretty darn cute.
