I like this things ability, but it's just badly placed. At 6 cmc 2 colored, you should really be getting finishers or at least power/toughness that reflects the point of the card. With this much cost, the P/T is under curve, and the ability enters so late that few folks would ever include it. It's Uncommon too, so it should already be better than common cards at cost. Sadly, there are cards that make you discard better (Academy Raider, Ashioks Adept, Liliana's Reaver) and many better black cards of 6 cmc. The only thing I can say for it is there's no better, semi-low rarity, 6 cmc black creature in this set - but you'd probably still be better just using another card, as it's a power that nearly demands a significant part of the deck support it.

when Journey into nyx spoilers were coming out, i was building a modern deck that would use waste not once it comes out in July. i was hoping for a black constellation discard. i got it, but not at the mana cost i wanted it at. I was hoping for maybe 4 mana for a 3/2 or something like that? i'm going to run 1 copy of it, but still, i wish it costed less! btw, great in limited.
