This can be a Lifelink, which is a decent deal or a weaker Pacifism for only one, which is a great deal. Add in the flexibility of being both and you have an all-around super-versatile enchantment.

This...isn't exactly the same as Lifelink because, correct me if I'm wrong, but you can put multiple copies of this on the same creature and gain 2, 3, 4, 5 (if it had lifelink in the firstplace) times as much life per damage whereas with multiple Lifelinks, the creature would not be granted that ability again and again.
Adding Lifelink to a creature that already has Lifelink doesn't give it double Lifelink, just like if you enchanted a creature that had First Strike with Lance or something, it wouldn't have FIrst First Strike.
Does that seem right?
