So I have a 50/50 chance of dealing all the damage to myself, for a slight discount in CMC. This is the kind of card I WANT my opponent to play, probably win me the game.

This creature enables you to deal combat damage to yourself.
It's, like, the only thing I've seen that actually does that.
Aren't there a ton of effects that trigger when you're dealt combat damage that usually rely on your opponent attacking you, that you can then use with this?

Hopeless card. Even if you work around it with some combo it's not worth it. It is, however, a hilarious addition to my Nicol Bolas EDH deck whose whole point is producing chaos and pointlessly destroying itself.

Use with Darien, King of Kjeldor and give this guy lifelink. At least then he's somewhat fun to play. Deals combat damage, or gives you 5 soldiers? You always win! Chaos is fun, isn't it?
