You know what's an awesome combo with this card?
Turn 1:Mountain, Rite of flame, Rite of flame, Rite of flame, Rite of flame, Desperate ritual (spliced desperate ritual), desperate ritual, manamorphose, ancestral recall, chimney imp, lotus petal, manamorphose, dragon storm!
Search for: 4 Blades of Velis Vel, 4 Crib Swaps, and 4 Boggardan Hellkites!
Turn 1 win! This card is insane!
Who could dispute how great this card is!
I've actually never even resolved this card: My opponent always concedes if they don't have a counterspell in hand.
Also, another great combo? First turn, on their upkeep, start with gemstone caverns in play. Then remove a simian spirit guide from your hand, tap the caverns for blue, and cast flash. Put a chimney imp into play. Your opponent will be forced to put a card from their hand on top of their library!

Back in the day when Mirrodin was in Standard and wrecking havoc on all that was right and good in the world, one card stood above the brokeness and was even more broken-y than the rest. This card.
We simply called it DA PIMP, in awe of its greatness.
Arcbound Ravager? Back on the top of your deck.
Disciple of the Vault? Back on the top of your deck.
Skullclamp? Back on the top of your deck.
Black Lotus? Back on the top of your deck.
Then he was banned in all formats and 47 states. But he'll be back some day. Oh yes.

It should have the relentless rats ability to build a deck only of chimney imps.

One time, amazingly, I won a game to an opponent who had 4 chimney imps and 56 swamps in his deck. My deck had 4 of each of the Power Nine, as well as some creature destroy effects, but it was incredibly demoralizing when my opponent played a Chimney Imp on his 5th turn. It was immune to my Deathmark, Terror and Dark Banishing, so the fight seemed hopeless. I considered conceding as soon as I read the card, but somehow I managed to take down my opponent with Channel and Banefire, a combo that's probably never worked before.

I run a black/white deck that absolutely abuses the Stuffy Doll, Guilty Conscience, Chimney Imp combo. When I show my opponent my hand of Swamp, Swamp, Plains, Plains, Plains, One with Nothing, Chimney Imp, they always scoop. The threat of this menace coming on turn five (possibly turn 3 if I draw Dark Ritual) is too much for them. I don't blame my opponent, though. This card is just that good.

Combo chimney imp with sanguine bond and blood tribute, a sure 3 card win combo.
If you sacrifice 4 Eldrazi spawn, you only need 1 swamp to summon it!
CHimney imp is only beaten by 1 card: wood elemental, green's chimney elemental in sacrificed wood form.

Chimney Imp breaks the new Miracle mechanic and needs to be banned. It will be the herald of dozens of degenerate combo decks in the new Vintage. Watch as the broken combo unfolds:
Get Vedalken Orrery, Laboratory Maniac, and Goblin Welder onto the battlefield by any means necessary.
Use Demonic Tutor or another tutor to get the new card Temporal Mastery into your hand.
Cast Painter's Servant naming any color, Mindslaver, and Grindstone. Your combo is ready.
On the combo turn, mill yourself with Grindstone naming the chosen color to get your library into your graveyard, including Recoup, Donate, Chimney Imp, Dread Return, and an artifact-based sac outlet such as Culling Dais. ... (see all)

I just read the saddest all week...
"If I had three wishes I would wish for one chimney imp with each. I think a wish could only handle one of these monsters at a time. " - Goatllama
Because he would wouldn't of a full playset :(
