I can't believe they would risk making a near-Hymn in any Modern legal set! And artifact is the closest card type to being ok, because despite DacenOctavio's thinking, Artifacts are the third most common card type besides creatures and lands to see in people's decks. Counting all the formats put together- the farther back you go, artifacts rise to #1 (there's this little thing they made back in 1992 called BLACK LOTUS. Maybe you've heard of it? Or Time Vault? Sol Ring? etc.)
This is no Hymn to Tourach, but then Ghost Quarter is no Strip Mine. Of all the 'old stupid powerful cards' to get attempted fixed reprints, this one might be the closest to reach the original. (Serra Angel vs. She-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named DOESN'T. COUNT. it just doesn't.)
This has nearly no chance of getting Restricted or Banned, and yet also nearly no chance of being a 'dead' card. I'm picking up 4x foil the next time I have the money to spare...

Hymn to Tourach beats this card up and takes its lunch money every day before school.

...Sorry, this is good but there's no "maybe" about whether it's worse than Hymn. For once you can fairly accurately say that this is strictly worse than Hymn.

With Scars of Mirrodin coming out, artifacts may be seen more often than not, but still a decent card. I prefer other hand disruption cards though.

This card fits perfect in the casual gaming!
This card pales in comparison with Hymn to Tourach, so pros will not run it in tournaments and we, casual players, will find this card easily!

Hymn is a broken mistake... get over it.

Seeing how most players don't play with all 7 card types (or worse, no way to combat players who do) the artifact clause will mean little. Of course, targeted discard is better than random, so Thoughtseize, Inquisition of Kozilek, and Duress are usually more relevant. Raven's Crime is simply devastating in decks tuned to play it, and Mind Shatter is still a card.

I hate it when that happens.

This is a really good discard spell if they aren't playing artifacts. Two mana for a 2 for 1 is always good.
4.5/5
