Check the rulings though. Fetchlands' effects won't trigger it because the opponent isn't 'playing' a land.

Still decent if you have enough ramp to get him out by turn 3, provided your opponent isn't also playing green.

3/5. In its time this was one of the strongest Green creatures for 5 mana. Effectively at least a 4/5 on your opponent's turn (unless they deal with it before they play a land), unless they miss a land drop. The real weakness of the card though is the fact it costs 5. Unless you can ramp up to get it out earlier than normal, your opponent can probably just miss land drops until he deals with this guy (since there's plenty you can do with 5 mana).

Still not that bad. Everybody and their dog plays fetch lands now, so it'll usually grow anyway.

Could be good in EDH if you slap trample on it...

He's not bad if you get him out reasonably early. I guess most people will just shoot it, but I've had a lot of problems with creatures that do little more than get huge sometimes - if you can't draw into removal, or your removal consists of burn, you can get really badly hurt by basic fatties like this.

Probably quite swell in multi-player. I'd use Gaea's touch T2, drop 2 forests on T3 and sac it for the two mana, dropping this guy,... maybe. If I were trying to play him at least.

Maybe just BoP/Elves T1, Rampant T2, land T3, play him? That will get him out and allow you (especially in multiplayer) many counters.
