It's nice if you target your opponent's Skulking Fugitive and have it blast another of his mid-sized creatures. Granted, I'm sure the card rarely works out that well.

This couldn't possibly cost three mana and be instant, it would be too much, since you CAN use it on an oponents creature. It could either be instant and cost 4, or be a sorcery and cost 3, though.

I'd rather have a Soul's Fire.
You can't use an opponent's creature for the damage, but it's an instant, yours won't be tapped after use, it costs less and most of all you can deal the damage to a player as well.

LIke Mode wrote Soul's Fire is way better. The main problem IMHO with this is: How do you guarantee that your opponent is playing with creatures?

Team with Royal Assassin to kill 2 opposing creatures. At any rate, I'm guessing it was awesome in booster draft play.

Good to make an opponent's fatty deal damage equal to its power to an opponent's Phyrexian Obliterator, Phyrexian Negator or Dralnu, Lich Lord.

No, I don't think you'll be blocking me with that. No, I don't think you'll be blocking me with that either.

Rerated at 3/5 once I realized it didn't say "creature you control". This card is actually pretty useful; it removes a creature from being a blocker for a turn and it has a good chance of killing another creature. Plus you can play it on creatures who are already tapped, effectively letting you swing with another of your creatures (although only at a creature, not at a player) or kill an opponent's tapped creature (if its p/t ratio is right). I want one in my Dwarf deck now... (note: the deck only uses cards that start with D-).
