Works great equipped onto anything with vigilance. Or even better, use Accorder's Shield to equip the gauntlets to anything =)

Goblin Gaveleer comes to mind =)

Use Magnetic Theft to put it on your opponents tapped creature.
When you need it for the win, equip your own critter and swing.

Works with any of the Act of Treason variants too if you have the 6 mana.
(or 3 and a Brass Squire).

Voltaic Construct if its carried by an artifact creature.

This card reminds me of the excitement we had at the Mirrodin prerelease that was mostly forgotten. Back then it was a lopsided Standard environment; you could either play affinity, or you could play a deck with 20 artifact removal. You could also stop caring about the metagame and make some casual decks and have some fun, but leave the Spike inside you unsatisfied.
